A PLAN to promote the cultural sector in Bromsgrove and the rest of northeast Worcestershire has received a grant from Arts Council England of £ 20,000.
The money will be used to create a new “Kulturkompakt” partnership in the Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough to bring together people and organizations that can support the contribution of culture to people’s lives and the local economy.
A pact emphasizes the commitment between the cultural sector and other organizations that are outside that sector but share compatible ambitions with it.
Independent Chair Jane Earl, a cultural sector expert and former CEO and official who supports the project, said leadership, investment and talent would be used to maximize the region’s cultural resources and increase inclusion and growth. “
Those invited to join the pact include the National Trust, Canals and Rivers Trust, Arts Council England, Heritage Lottery, Artrix Holding Trust, Rubicon Leisure, local authorities and more.
The District Council and Redditch Borough Council applied for the grant after recognizing the opportunity for collaboration and collaboration between the two councils to develop.

The first meeting for the partners will take place in January to reach a working agreement and then they will meet regularly to identify opportunities for cooperation.
