Raise some cash for the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity by hosting an NHS Big Tea event

PEOPLE are urged to brew some cash for the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity (WAHC) by attending the NHS Big Tea event on July 5th at 3pm.

After a year like no other, the WAHC wants as many people as possible to show their love and gratitude for staff and volunteers on the NHS birthday by hosting or attending an event.

Any event can take place in person or virtually, with the community, friends, family or at work.

It is an opportunity to reflect and say thank you for all that NHS staff and volunteers have done and continue to do.

People can write 5 pounds to support NHS charities and tag five friends on social media and ask them to do the same.

Sophie Burt, WAHC fundraising and community development director, said, “As a charity, we have so much more to do to help our people and services recover from the pandemic.

“By participating in the NHS Big Tea, either by fundraising or by spreading the word, you are ensuring that the charity can continue to serve the staff, patients and services of your local hospitals.”

The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity has used the funds received to provide wellness items and care packages, as well as psychological support, to staff as they have done a great and tireless work through one of the most difficult periods in the history of the NHS.
