A PUB had to close because it suffers from Covid-19 problems.
The Bull Inn on Fernhill Heath near Worcester has announced that it will be closed until next Monday, December 20th.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the pub said: “Due to COVID and staff shortages, we regret to inform you that we will be closed until December 20th.
“We have contacted so many people with bookings to rearrange them, but with our best efforts we cannot get a response from all of them.
“For everyone who has booked from now until the 20th, please get in touch to discuss your booking.
“We’ll reopen on December 21st #sorry #covid.”
The pub had organized a two-hour breakfast with Santa Claus on December 18th – but since the pub is closed that day, this too had to be canceled.
A breakfast event planned for December 21st, which includes a rich breakfast and an encounter with Santa Claus and Elf, is currently still planned.
The Centenary Lounge café-bar has now appealed to customers after a “high number of cancellations”.
On its Facebook page, the The Cross, Worcester venue wrote, “It’s no secret that the hospitality industry has taken a real blow during the pandemic.
“We are experiencing a high level of cancellations that we know is inevitable in times of uncertainty. As a family, we are fully compassionate and know that the safety of you and your families must come first.
“Nevertheless, we would be delighted to have your support and ask you to shop with us online.
“For those customers who continue to visit, we can assure you that we are doing everything we can to protect our customers and employees.
“We appreciate a generous space that allows us to distribute tables, and our dining area on the upper floor offers another spacious and private space for dining. Provided you feel good, we look forward to your visit in the next few weeks. ”
The venue also assured customers that if additional restrictions go into effect, full refunds will be made to anyone who has booked New Years Eve.
