Bosses say the area takes on a whole new beauty during the fall and winter months, which may help people with their New Year’s fitness campaigns.

One example is the Arley Arboretum in Bewdley, which was previously voted “the best place to see the autumn colors” in the UK by Countryfile.

A Visit Worcestershire spokesman said: “Here at Visit Worcestershire we cannot agree more, we would simply and always like to take the opportunity to remind people that the whole county offers spectacular views and grounds all year round.

“From the Malvern Hills to the Wychavon Way, our county has many places to take your steps and keep your spirits up.

“There is something for everyone and there are plenty of places worth dusting off your hiking boots for a longer hike or just your sneakers for a leisurely dog walk.”

As nights remain dark, cold and fog gathering, the organization added that there are also many of the best pub crawls to be enjoyed in the county, with fantastic views, roaring log fires and amazing winter warmers.

“So why not get out your cozy scarves, shawls and bobble hats and head down the most colorful path to a delicious hot chocolate or pub lunch.”
