Expanded retail discount
The 2022/23 Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Business Rates Relief scheme will provide eligible, occupied, retail, hospitality and leisure properties with a 50% relief, up to a cash cap limit of £110,000 per business.
Business rates discount for nurseries
As an extraordinary response to the coronavirus, the Government announced a business rates Nursery Discount on 18 March 2020 whhch ends on 31 March 2022.
This relief will apply to hereditaries occupied by providers on Ofsted’s Early Years Register and are wholly or mainly used for the provision of the Early Years Foundation Stage and which are subject to business rates in the year 2020/21. There will be no rateable value limit on the relief.

The Nursery Discount 2021 would also be extended for three months, at 100%, uncapped, for the period 1 April 2021 to 30 June 2021. From 1 July 2021 to 31 March 2022 the Nursery Discount would apply at 66% relief for eligible properties, with a cash cap of £105,000.
For the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Relief scheme, businesses may choose to opt out of the support by providing the billing authority notification of their request to refuse support, per eligible hereditary.
