A accounting firm has announced it will create up to 25 jobs over the next six months, just weeks after their Worcestershire office completed a £ 100,000 move.
Haines Watts, which supports hundreds of owner-run businesses across the region, has plans to increase fees to £ 15 million by 2026 through a combination of organic growth and a series of acquisitions.
The company is strengthening its team of experts in corporate finance, tax, VAT, and R&D tax claims as part of its commitment to deliver business-critical services to companies seeking to make the most of new post-Covid opportunities.
Greater focus will also be placed on greater collaboration between the offices in Birmingham, Hereford, Tamworth, Wolverhampton and Worcester and the creation of regional centers of excellence to support clients in the arts, engineering, healthcare, leisure, professional services and technology sectors.
“The past 12 months have been extremely challenging, but ultimately rewarding in the way our team has come together to provide critical advice to our customers when they need it most,” said Tim Pearce, Managing Partner at Haines Watts in Worcester.
“With the successful launch of the vaccine, we are now seeing renewed optimism in the business world and want to make sure we have the capacity and knowledge to help owner-run businesses thrive and grow.”
He continued, “Our five-year plan to increase our market presence in all of our five offices will focus on organic growth in our key markets, investments in technologies that enable us to work smarter and strategic acquisitions that have capabilities and complementary knowledge expand. It is important that they fit in with our culture and our way of doing business. “
The move of Haines Watts in Worcester resulted in a move from an industrial site on the outskirts to Saggar House, which is in the center and overlooks the cathedral.
Pearce said, “Covid-19 has accelerated the transformation of the way we work, and in the past twelve months we’ve seen that our team doesn’t have to be at their desks all the time to work effectively.
“Moving downtown and the newly renovated offices gave us the perfect opportunity to create an environment and culture that supports people when they want to be in the office, but also allows them to work remotely and flexibly work so they can meet their family Commitment and enjoy a good work-life balance.
“This decision is already paying off when we are recruiting, as agile working has helped us attract some fantastic talent over the past few weeks, including the appointment of Emma Gartland as tax manager.”
