Becky Hill will be giving a one off gig in Birmingham for amazing reasons

Worcestershire singer Becky Hill is set to perform a sold out intimate performance at Birmingham’s Sunflower Lounge on Friday as part of the National Lottery’s Revive Live Tour.

Other artists in the line-up include Bastille and Enter Shikari.

The tour aims to help revitalize the grassroots live music scene after the Covid-19 pandemic closed many venues for over a year and forced artists to cancel their shows.

The tour returns for the second time after the campaign raised over £1million over the summer to directly fund the touring and production costs of hundreds of live performances.

This allowed the grassroots live music industry to start promoting shows again, knowing that the upfront costs associated with touring were fully recovered.

Becky – the only The Voice UK contestant to have a number one single – will be performing at the Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham, where she previously performed as a teenager.

Speaking on her upcoming show, Becky said: “If I play this place, I will most likely go back to this 17-year-old young woman who has her whole life ahead of her and make me very, very grateful for where I am now. I’ve worked so hard and I often forget to look back at where I came from.

“Live music is so important to memories like this, it’s devastating that we’ve been without it for so long and I hope the National Lottery’s Revive Live Tour gives the events industry the legs it needs again.”
