THE BANDS in the Park program returns this summer with plenty of Coventry green spaces featuring live music.
The events are part of the “Summer of Surprises” program of the UK Capital of Culture.
The first event will take place on Sunday, July 25th, in Nauls Mill Park with the Phoenix Rock ‘n’ Roll Band with the Bandicoots Blues Connection Band next Sunday, August 1st, in Longford Park – both from 2pm to 3.30pm.
On August 15th, Sambassadors of Groove and the Day Spring Steel Band will play in Spencer Park from 2pm to 4pm
The Dene River Jazzmen will perform in Allesley Park on August 22nd between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm, followed by Non Stop Bop (3:30 pm to 5:00 pm) and an outdoor cinema from 8:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
The program takes place in the city’s parks on a Sunday afternoon from late July to late September.

Sunday September 19th – Caludon Castle Park, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – City of Coventry Police Brass Band, Changeover – Scarecrow (Volk), 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – The Redhills (with entry), 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: 30 p.m. – outdoor cinema (with admission).
Sunday September 26th – Coombe Abbey, 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – BBC Contains Strong Language 2021 – Parks, Poems and Brass Bands with Olga Dermot-Bond and the City of Coventry Brass Band.
