Police are investigating after the girls’ drinks were “moved” in the Worcester bar

Police are investigating “spiking” allegations after three young women reportedly ingested a “harmful substance” during a night in Worcester

West Mercia Police officers confirmed they are investigating after a popular Facebook post alleged that a girl was sick after a night on the town this week.

A spokesman said: “We received a call in the early hours of April 15th about an ambulance safety concern.

“It is reported that three women were rushed to the Worcestershire Royal Accident and Emergency Department after suspecting they had ingested potentially harmful substances.

“We are currently investigating this incident.”

The post, which was shared hundreds of times on Facebook, said, “Last night at Bushwackers, Worcester, me and a couple of girls went out for a few drinks.

“We had all drank the same amount close enough, but one of my friends around 10:30 pm got really sick and looked really bad slumped on the table.

“She couldn’t lift her head.

“We had help carrying her outside as the staff were unwilling to help us inside. She was starting to be really limp and confused.

“We managed to get her home through a toilet as she still had projectile vomiting.

“We knew until then that this was not normal for our friend.

“Within an hour our friend stopped responding and 999 was called immediately.

“Her eyes rolled, she began to grasp, her heart rate was through the roof.

“Her seizures lasted longer than normal. Then we were told to start CPR, which terrified us all because this was one of our best friends and we all thought this could never happen to us.

“Fortunately, the rescue team arrived. Fortunately, they were hospitalized.

“After that, we checked our other two friends, who had left the club about 30-45 minutes before us, with the same situation.

“They reacted in exactly the same way, did not react, fit, eyes rolled back, wet, shortness of breath, tight chest.

“I am writing this post to send this message to all the girls / boys who go to the bush as this has been such a scary moment for me and my other friend to sit and try to help our girls.

“We think the answer, as you may have guessed, is that the girls were spiked.

“Please girls out there, be careful.”

The Worcester News reached out to Bushwackers for comment but was unable to reach management.
