The rules for the WEDDING changed last week as part of the government’s recent easing of the lockdown.
The number of guests admitted to weddings, civil partnerships, and other memorial services, including guards, has increased from six to 15.
Events can take place outdoors, but indoor spaces are also permitted if they are authorized to open or if an exception applies.
Participants include the bride and groom, witnesses and guests.
Workers such as registration officers, photographers, and event managers are not included.
Hannah Perrott, associate director of parishes for Worcestershire County Council, said: “This recent relaxation of restrictions with an increase in the number of guests allowed to attend ceremonies is welcome news for many couples across the county.
“Our registration services know they work with residents at important moments in their lives.
“Our teams have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to ensure that everything in Covid is safe. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your hard work. “
Wedding receptions can accommodate up to 15 people, but must be outdoors and not in private gardens.
The number of mourners who are allowed to attend funeral services remains the same at 30 people.
Registration services in Worcestershire are open, but only by appointment. Due to the current restrictions, the available services are limited.
