Married at First Sight’s George Roberts set to star in tell-all documentary

A MARRIED at First Sight contestant is set to feature in a tell-all documentary which is being produced by a Worcestershire film company.

MAFS star George Roberts, from Worcester and Malvern, will “speak his truth” in an exclusive documentary after being arrested on the suspicion of coercive and manipulative behavior during his appearance on the E4 reality tv show.

The 40-year-old was one of the contestants in the self-proclaimed social experiment where single people, matched by experts, marry total strangers who they meet for the first time on their wedding day.

While the show was on the air, three of his ex-girlfriends came forward and made independent allegations about his alleged ‘obsessive’, ‘manipulative’ and ‘abusive’ behaviour.

Mr Roberts was arrested by the Metropolitan Police in Worcestershire on Thursday, September 26 and was subsequently bailed by Scotland Yard.

However, the reality TV star is insisting he will “speak his truth” in a tell-all documentary produced by Emanation Firm.

Are April Banbury and George Roberts still together?

On the show, Mr Roberts, who is a financial advisor, was matched with former Miss Great Britain and dressmaker April Banbury.

And despite having some ups and down during the season, the couple revealed they had plans to move in with each other once the show had ended.

Now, Ms Banbury told her fans she is no longer with her television husband and is also seeing a therapist after her appearance on the show.

She said: “The traumas that have been brought on from this show have made me re-evaluate things.

“I really have and I’m not ashamed to admit, I have been seeing a therapist ever since.”

Jenna Robinson and Zoe Clifton, who are the first-ever lesbian couple to feature on the show, are the only couple still together since the show aired its final episode on Tuesday, October 18.
