Pedestrian, 82, said in Evesham after collision with motorcyclist

A pensioner has died after being struck by a motorcycle while walking along a road in Evesham. Emergency services, including paramedics, police and an air ambulance, were all called to Pershore Road shortly before 1.30pm on Sunday (June 26) following the collision.

Upon arrival, ambulance crews found the 82-year-old pedestrian in critical condition and being given CPR by bystanders. However, despite the best efforts of paramedics who delivered advance life support, the man was shortly confirmed dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist, 48, suffered facial injuries and was also treated at the scene before he was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment. The road was closed for several hours following the crash but reopened at about 7pm that evening.
