Range Rover stolen from Romsley is recovered by police within an hour

POLICE recovered this Range Rover just an hour after it was stolen from an address in Romsley on Saturday.

The owner had a tracker installed on the vehicle so officers from Worcestershire Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) working with colleagues in West Midlands Police’s Traffic Unit located it parked up in Oldbury.

The recovery was pat of Operation Enzyme which was launched by West Mercia Police last month.

It sees increased patrols to target hotspots where car-key burglaries are prevalent, including on the Birmingham / Worcestershire border and sites where vehicles are known to be taken to.

It mirrored another incident earlier in the week when a Range Rover again stolen from Romsley was located in Billston.
